Hi , For virtual classrooms , I generally use wiziq but occasionally illuminate . I tried vyew , it is free with the limit of 20 students . It has all the necessary features such as voice , video , doc uploading . Webhuddle is an open source solution you may like to try . The demo sounds Ok with recording feature and playback www.webhuddle.com/Mbarek-Morocco Thanks Mbarek! I have used both, Vyew and Webhuddle. They are fine. They still have some bugs, but they can accomplish the purpose if you want to meet with your students live online :-) Best, Daf

"Webheads have a free Elluminate room provided by Learning Times that any webhead can use." Dear Daf, Can you explain it better? Are we considered Webheads? I mean, as you join the YG and all that you are a "certified" webhead? I've been around since 2008(actually I think I joined the group before but was not active at all) so I always think about you guys(the big webheads-moderators/co-moderators...) as the real ones. I hope this clear for you.

I hope this clear for you. Once you join the Webheads Yahoo Group (not BaW) you are considered a webhead, that´s why during our BaW graduation ceremony we invite all Bawers to join the Webheads in Action YG. We have a calendar where we can book the Webheads Elluminate room at Learning Times for our presentations. Cheers, Daf

I haven't used it yet, but some colleagues say that courselab is a powerful e-learning authoring tool (and it's free). This is its link: www.courselab.com/Although it's a different concept, I personally think that a good wikispace may replace more complicated platforms and products. You can see my EFL wikispace here: amaldi-english-corner.wikispaces.com or galliefl.wikispaces.comGreetings from Bergamo, Italy! ATTILIO

Attilio your wikis are fantastic! I would be very interested in learning a bit more about the tandem project, as I am doing something similar with my students. I´ll try to contact you by e-mail. Bye!

Hi, Houssnia I am using Google Sites at sites.google.com - but don't like it. It has some limitations. But it is easy to create a website for the students. Larissa, co-moderator week 2

the previous message was about virtual classrooms. I have been using microsoft frontpage for the school's website for 5 years now. I think it is quite straight forward to use. I was told though that moodle is much better. my 2 cents Joanna Rodiki Petrides Cyprus
